Feed the Beast requires a separate client. There are two launchers available at feed-the-beast.com.

Click Download Beta Curse with FTB, install, then run it.
You're going to need to make a curse account in order to log in.
Next click on Browse FTB Modpacks, and you should see FTB Infinity Evolved on the top of the list mouse over and click Install.
Once its done downloading you are good to go ahead and click Play to launch FTB. In the options menu you can change the amount of ram that will be used while running ftb, if you're getting lag while playing it might be a good idea to up how much ram is used. Make sure you check how much ram your computer has before maxing it out. I have 8gb of ram and I find that 4gb is good enough. Just click the 3 dots on the top right corner.
Uncheck Use System Settings and set your ram to your preference.
Always make sure you are on the current version of the server you can do that by selecting FTB Infinity Evolved and clicking the down arrow by the Play button.
Download the stable version for the Ftb launcher, install it and run it.
You're going to want to log in with your minecraft username, and also make sure that you are on the current version that the server is on (2.1.3).
