Live Map is back! Some of you may not remember live map, some of you may love that it is back, and others will remember being hunted down because people could find you with the live map. I know some people don't enjoy the live map and what it offers, but I think it is a great part of the server and it is needed to bring enjoyment back into the server for some players.
If you are one of the players who hates live map and the fact that people can see where you live you need to remember a few things:
Remember, don't rage about something you could have prevented. The staff here cannot hold your hand and make sure that people don't bother you while you build, farm, or do other things. You need to take care of yourself and as long as players don't break the rules the staff will not intervene. Of course, if someone breaks a rule you should contact a staff member right away and we will take care of it.
- Minecraft is about survival. Not just survival from mobs, falls, fire, and lava, but also survival from other players. Having the possibilty that you could be hunted down and killed should remind you that you need to adapt and survive. Don't just rage and complain.
- World Guards are essential if you want to 100% protect yourself from being hunted down. They are not that expensive for small zones and I encourage everyone to purchase at least a 25x25 zone that they can use in case of emergency. A 25x25 zone will cost you only $50,000 in game.
- Peaceful factions are another line of defense for those who do not want to be hunted down and killed. I encourage PVP, but I also understand some people dislike PVP and therefore those people are encouraged to join peaceful factions.
