MutinyCraft Forum

iLizzy and gamess6 have created a brand new PVP area for use on the survival server. This arena does have a Warzone over it so anyone can enjoy PVP here. There are four warps that lead to the arena and they are arena1, arena2, arena3, and arena4. Enjoy! :)

Tomorrow is the start of a new month and that means the votes will be reset. Remember to keep voting for the server to help get our server name out there and get new players to join our community.

MutinyCraft has recently added a new voting plugin that allows players more options for rewards. All of the information on this plugin can be found on the Wiki here. The most notable feature of this plugin is that you no longer need to be online for your vote to give you rewards. As soon as you vote (online or offline) you will have points added to your account in game which you can redeem for things like diamonds, ender pearls, beacons, and much more. For the complete list of rewards see the Wiki.

Most Votes Reward!

Along with the new plugin we will also be giving away some rewards for the top voters in the month of August. This is to help encourage people to continue to show their support for the server by voting and also reward those who take time out of their day to vote. The top voter will receive their choice of 1600 Microsoft Points, $20 PlayStation Network Card, or a $25 Steam Gift Card! Provided by EtherSong. If there is a tie for first place the winner will be randomly chosen.

Rewards for Top Voters:
  1. Choice of 1600 Microsoft Points, $20 PlayStation Network Card, or a $25 Steam Gift Card
  2. 50 Bonus Voting Points
  3. 25 Bonus Voting Points
Rules:

To be eligible to win these prizes you must be at least Miner/Farmer/Warrior on MutinyCraft and have an account in good standing (not banned). If you win the 1st place prize you will be private messaged on the forum and asked which of the three gift codes you would like. Once you choose one of them, you will me messaged back with the gift...
I have come to realize that things change on the server and sometimes no one really knows what has changed. For example plugins update, prices for services change, new staff are ranked, and other things that players would like to know. For that reason I have decided to make a post each time I feel there are enough changes that the entire server should know about. I wont make a post with every single change, but I will try and make one at least once a month.

Update 8/4/2012:

CraftBukkit has now released a fix to the chunk issue that was delaying the update. There are now new issues that will require about 10 or more plugins to udpate in order to be fully combatible with 1.3.1. Although, they do still work as they are.

I have been testing the plugins with the latest version of CraftBukkit and they seem to be working well so far. The real test would be to see how everything performs with 30-40 players online at once.

The plan as of right now is to update the server to 1.3.1 tomorrow morning around 11 AM CDT (Central Daylight Time). This will allow me to hopefully have a good amount of Moderators and Support Admins around that can help log on the server to quickly ensure everything seems to be working. After we ensure everything appears to be in order we will open the server back up to the public.

Update 8/3/2012:

I was planning on updating the server today or possibly tomorrow, but CraftBukkit has a very large bug with chunk loading/unloading. This causes huge server lag when there are more than a few players online. As of right now, it is not plausible to update to 1.3.1.

As soon as CraftBukkit has a fix for the chunk issues I will work on updating the server. This could be tonight, tomorrow, or a few days from now. I was ready to update today, until I found out about this bug.

Update 8/2/2012:

MutinyCraft should be updating to 1.3.1 within the next few days. It could be as soon as tomorrow (8/3/2012), but that is still not certain. We are waiting for a few plugins to fix some issues they are having before we can update. Please be patient and check back for more info on when the update will happen.

Important

Minecraft 1.3.1 has been released. That...
Battleground Reset

The Battleground world will be reset when CraftBukkit is updated to Minecraft version 1.3. That means that you have about 1-2 weeks to remove any buildings that you want to get material from and prepare for the new world.

I realize that some people are against a map being reset, but you should understand that the Battleground world is not a normal world. To offer the chance for players to experience a full 1.3 world this was the best option.

I did consider creating an additional world, but I decided against that for several reasons. The main one being that there are always going to be more updates and we can't make a new world for each one.

When the new world is created we will also release the updated Faction rules which will need to be read and understood immediately if you are in or own a faction. There will be a few changes to how peaceful factions may interact inside the new Battleground world. There will also be a few changes as to how Faction Admins control and create their factions.

Do not ask any of the staff what the updates to the rules will be at this time. We will share that information with you when we feel it is necessary.
