MutinyCraft will be opening a Hardcore Factions server in the very near future. This post will help educate you on what exactly our version of hardcore factions will look like. If you have played on a hcf server in the past then a lot of this will be familiar to you. And if you have been following along on the discussion thread you will see some of those ideas have been added.

Rules

The rules on the hardcore factions server will be extremely relaxed. The chat will not be visible from any other MutinyCraft server, however there will still be a very small amount of chat rules. All of the rules can be found on the wiki here.

Plugins

The full plugin list will not be made available, however the plugins people will be interested in will have guides located on the wiki here.

The plugins most people will be interested in are:

• Auctions - Player hosted auctions for selling/buying items
• SpawnerShop- Purchasable mob spawners
• Factions - Everything for factions
• ObsidianDestroyer - Makes it easier to destroy obsidian and also possible to destroy bedrock (excluding the very bottom layer of bedrock)
• VoteSuite - Allows players to redeem vote points for rewards such as in game money and bedrock

MutinyCraft will be celebrating Christmas and other Holidays by providing gifts to all of the players of the server. You will be allowed to receive one gift of your choice from the list of items below. If you don't celebrate any type of holiday you are still welcome to get a gift! You will be able to claim your gift December 20th, 2015 until January 3rd, 2016. This will allow people who are away for the Holidays time to get on the server to claim their gift. You must wait until either Jigsaw or I_Hate_Lag_ is online in order to get your gift.

Rules:

• One gift per person.
• You may not get a gift for someone else if they can't log in.
• You are allowed to sell your gift or do what you please with it.
• You must be at least the rank of Citizen to receive a gift.

• Gift #1: Diamond Pickaxe - Efficiency V - Fortune III - Unbreaking III
• Gift #2: Diamond Shovel - Efficiency V - Unbreaking III - Fortune III

Update 11/28/2015

It has been decided that MutinyCraft will add a FTB Infinity Evolved server and a Hardcore Factions server. A prison server is still on the table, but if we add one it will not be right away. A lot of work will need to be done to get the FTB server ready. However, the hardcore factions server should be ready to go very soon after the build event is over that will decide the spawn building/area.

More information will be coming soon. Expect a dedicated thread to ideas for the hardcore factions server in the near future.

Original Post

As I'm writing this there are 5 people online playing MutinyCraft and 4 of them are staff members. It is clear that the popularity of the server has been decreasing steadily over the last year or two and that is something I would like to change. I'm well aware that many people have lost interest in the server and a few have simply lost interest in minecraft altogether. Regardless, I believe that MutinyCraft can become more enjoyable again if we put our minds together and figure out what the server wants.

There are many ideas that get thrown around, but I can honestly say that I do not know which ones will work. If I knew what the answer was to make the server more popular again I would do it in a heartbeat. That is why I'm writing this post. I need your help and I think if we put our minds together we can move this server in a direction that people will enjoy.

A few things that I will not do:

• Reset the current survival server
• Shutdown the server altogether

That is really the only two things I wont do. Some people have said that a full reset is the only way to get people to play again, but I have always made it my goal to...

We recently updated MCMMO to the latest version and along with the update we have decided to enable MCMMO parties! This has been a part of MCMMO for a long time, but it has been very buggy in the past and that is why we haven't enabled them until now.

It is pretty simply to use MCMMO parties and anyone is able to create one that is Farmer, Miner, Warrior, or higher. The only feature that we have disabled is the party teleport command. All of the other commands and features for parties are enabled. These include party chat, MCMMO XP sharing, item sharing, and party alliances.

There are many commands for parties and I recommend reading the official MCMMO wiki page on parties.

Here is the simplified version to quickly get you started:

• /party create [name] [password] - Creates a party with your choice of name and password.
• /party join [player name] [password] - Joins a party that the provided player name is a member of.
• /party leave - Leaves your current party.
• /pc [message] - Send a message to only your party members.
• /party - View your party information.
• /party ? - View help information about parties.
